Investment ObjectiveThe investment objective of the 7IM Income Portfolio is to provide a relatively high level of income along with some long term capital growth from a global portfolio of equities, bonds and collective investment schemes.
We aim to manage money to a guideline return over time. We do this by beginning with a historical analysis of asset class performance to produce a strategic asset allocation. This asset allocation is reviewed quarterly based on our assessment of how current economic, political and market driven events will affect the portfolio in order to achieve the guideline return with greater certainty. There may be occasions when the Investment Manager chooses to hold a high level of cash or money market instruments. There will be no particular emphasis on any geographical area or any industrial or economic sector.
What You Need To Consider
In making your choice of investment you need to consider the level of risk you are prepared to take, how much growth you need to achieve, and over what time. In short, how much are you prepared to lose; are you a slow and steady investor or might you be comfortable taking more risk for the possibility of more return?
If you have a long time to grow your investments you might be able to ride out market ups and downs better than someone who needs their money in just 5 years.
Risk is however not the only factor to consider. You should also regularly reassess the suitability of your investments to ensure that they continue to meet your investment goals and suit your time horizon. You should be aware that there can be no guarantees. The value of investments may go up and down and you may get back less than you invested originally.
7IM Balanced Fund may be suitable for those investors wanting to achieve a balance of income and capital appreciation by investing in a sub-fund that allows investment in a wide range of asset classes, regions, currencies and investment types.
