Seven Investment Management (7IM) has expanded its retirement planning options by launching its own Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) and, as a result, become a pension provider.

We decided to introduce our own SIPP because we recognised that clients of professional advisors need a competitive and integrated retirement planning service.

The launch underscores 7IM’s commitment to the retirement planning market and to advisers who are looking for integrated solutions. Advisers’ clients will benefit as we can pre fund tax relief on pension contributions so that more money is being put to work earlier than can sometimes be the case.

In planning the launch, we also understood that it was important to keep our open architecture approach and, from a suitability point of view, continue to make other SIPPs available via the 7IM Platform.

The SIPP will be able to hold include a wide range of investments from equities and bonds through to listed closed end funds and investment notes. Non-standard assets will not be permitted.

Advisers who want to transfers clients into the 7IM SIPP should contact their relationship manager.
