7IM Junior SIPP

Clients with a 7IM account can invest for their children by opening a 7IM Junior SIPP and contributing up to £2,880 (net) each year. If the parent does not have a 7IM account, you can open one quickly and easily for them using our online application tool.

Opening

Once the parent has opened a 7IM account, they can then complete and sign our 7IM SIPP application form for their child, returning the form to postroom@7im.co.uk. Please note that we will need a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate with the application.

Funding

Parents or grandparents can fund a 7IM Junior SIPP account by making lump sum contributions using the payment details below. All funding should be included on the application form. Tax relief on net contributions will be added immediately. Contributions can also be funded by existing 7IM individual investment accounts, by adding the contribution details on the application form and including a signed letter of instruction detailing the 7IM account they wish the contribution to come from.

Transfers

Existing junior pensions held elsewhere can be transferred to a 7IM Junior SIPP either in-specie (also known as re-registering) or in cash. You can include the transfers on the application form. Where possible we will transfer cash electronically using the Origo system. You should send us a completed discharge form from the ceding scheme where you are transferring in-specie. You will be able to monitor the progress of every transfer by logging into our platform.

Adviser fees

You have complete flexibility over how you take your fees and can choose whether you want percentage or fixed fees for both initial and ongoing. You can even set different rates and structures for different sub accounts.

Please note that all forms can be signed electronically by your client using a recognised e-signature system such as Docusign or Adobe sign.

Parents or grandparents can fund a contribution into a 7IM Junior SIPP account from cash within their own individual or joint investment account (sometimes called ‘bed & pension’). Please complete the relevant contribution form and include a signed letter of instruction from the parent or grandparent detailing the 7IM account they wish the contribution to come from.
