When we think about the future, anything outside the next few days is, understandably, vague. Partly, because it takes a lot of energy to think that far ahead, but also because the world changes. Trains are delayed, the weather turns warm, someone pops over unexpectedly (like Donald Trump and a team of US marines …)

Which is why we’ve always found the financial industry’s habit of producing detailed forecasts of the next twelve months to be … an odd use of time. Especially given that most of the rest of the year is spent persuading investors to have long term time horizons!

At 7IM we’re ok with not knowing everything. Investing isn’t a calendar year event. So in our webinar in January, we’ll discuss things we know, things we don’t, and everything in between.
