Keeping your assets safe

7IM is committed to keeping your assets safe and secure, which is why we have created this hub, to provide you with the essential information you need to identify and protect yourself from potential threats.

There are a number of sophisticated ways in which fraudsters look to gain access to your personal, private and financial information, varying from telephone calls, emails, text messages and clone websites. Fraudsters are constantly developing new ways to manipulate potential victims, so it is vital that you are aware of the risks and how to mitigate them.

At 7IM, we will never ask you for your account information, so if you ever receive a phone call, email or text message from a supposed 7IM representative, please hang-up or delete the message and contact us immediately.

What we do to protect your account

Keeping your accounts secure is a priority for us, which is why we have implemented multiple measures to help protect you and your assets. We have applied a range of physical, electronic and procedural controls to keep you safe, some of which we have highlighted below:

While we have a number of measures in place to safeguard your assets, we cannot keep them safe without your help. This is arguably the most important principle to remember as it is the first piece of information that fraudsters will try to get you to divulge.

Act with caution when handling emails
Fraudsters create fake emails designed to look genuine and impersonate members of 7IM staff. These emails will be sent from domains with slightly different addresses to the genuine version. Communications sent from legitimate 7IM email domains will only ever end with @7im.co.uk.

Be suspicious of unsolicited contact
7IM will never cold call clients offering an investment opportunity or contact clients and ask them to disclose their full login details. If you receive an unsolicited contact which seems suspicious or out of the ordinary we urge you not to respond.

What to do if you believe you have been a victim of fraud or if you have received a suspicious email

If you believe there has been fraudulent activity on your 7IM account, please call us immediately on 0207 760 8777. When you contact us, we will investigate your suspicions and take necessary actions to safeguard you and others.

If you suspect that you have had money stolen or misappropriated as a result of fraud you should contact your bank immediately, who may be able to stop or recover any funds, and then contact us. If you are living in the UK, you should also report your concerns to Action Fraud.
